Get Your Eco On
In April 2010 Aimée Dussold gave a presentation about how music festivals are reacting to climate change at the LIPA CIAM Conference in Liverpool. Aimée asked me to design her slideshow, but I didn’t stop there. I also created a range of supporting media including business cards laced with wildflower seeds, an informational eco-tent, a website with Aimée’s slides available to download, and a twitter account that people could follow as Aimée was giving her presentation.
Opening up on this project gave Aimée’s presentation an enormous boost. She made serious waves within the industry and reached many new contacts through the transmission of her message on twitter. Harnessing the power of social media added a dimension of interactivity that was unprecedented at CIAM.
